Forestry Mechs, Almost.

If only they had legs.

No trees die, but this thing is kind of cool. Watch it climb the hill.

A toy skidder!

Wow, that is kinda cool.

I still don't like Forestry 'Mechs any more though...

Yes, I'm afraid an awful lot of work went into creating something for the game (Classic Battletech) that almost no one has the slightest bit of interest in. Maybe I should ask my buddies with the MechWarrior click-tech collections to show me how they work out there.

Well this has given me some ideas for building the forestry mech I have on my workbench. Obviously, I must be one of the few that buy the oddball civilian mechs, mostly because I'm intrigued by the idea of "technicals" i.e: adhoc conversion of cars to fighting vehicles.

I have the secret (well, it WAS a secret) ambition of running a Battletech scenario set in an open pit mine. One of the hazards would be 150 ton haul trucks carrying 250 tons of ore and cruising around at 30 mph; just the thing to flatten unwary assault mechs!
