You know, someone asked why I did not have a BattleMech recovery vehicle in the TRO:3063.
I told them it was because there were only two ways to recover most BattleMechs. The first way was to take them to pieces and ship the chunks via normal heavy transport routes.
The second way - and this is a method too seldom noted - requires good logistics support and time. In a word, you need a semi-rigid airship, a big one, and control of the area. Bring it in via Dropship and set it up. With suitable screening VTOLs (and plenty of ECM/ECCM and anti-missile systems), this one airship can salvage even the largest of 'Mechs in very little time.
Well Merry Xmas to you, and just so you know I have on my workbench several support and logistics vehicles for Battletech to finish off. I don't quite seem to get around to finishing them, because another new shiney thing takes my attention away elsewhere.
However, at some unspecified future date expect to see something is all I'm saying. Oh yeah, have a happy New Year too.

Maybe that one will go in
